The Dolomite summits, Piz da Peres, Dreifingerspitze, Flatschkofel, Maurerkopf and Hochalpenkopf, tower steeply and ruggedly above Olang. A magnificent setting for hiking and mountain climbing at higher altitudes. A little bit of fitness and good boots are certainly required if you want to brave the climb to the striking summits of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park or even the Olang via ferrata route on the Hochalpenkopf. To make sure that you are always on the right track, the paths in the high mountain regions are also extremely well signposted and secured. And when you finally reach the summit, the fabulous view will momentarily make you forget the toil and sweat of the journey, as the unique mountain landscape of the Pustertal/Val Pusteria Valley lies at your feet. Your eyes will wander freely from the main alpine ridge across to the Prags Dolomites. A view that will create lasting memories of your hiking holiday in Olang.
Incidentally: in summer, Olang’s tourist information office invites visitors to enjoy a guided via ferrata tour on the Hochalpenkopf every week with a trip to the Pragser Wildsee lake on the way down.
