Intermediate road bike tours

Tours for advanced road bikers & experts

It's not easy to find intermediate tours here, because after all the Dolomites are very challenging. On the other hand, you can expect an almost endless choice of high alpine roads with many variants, an infinite number of mountain passes and wonderful round trips. The tour to Lake Misurina with a view of the 3 Peaks and the Sorapiss Group is an absolute highlight - both in terms of scenery and sport. A very special nature experience is also the tour around the Fanes Sennes Prags Nature Park. Heading west, there are also long stretches for your "pass-free" rest days for relaxed endurance training, leading all the way to the lively baroque town of Brixen.

Lago di Misurina – 3 Peaks Tour

This medium-difficulty tour leads you from Olang via Toblach to the spectacular high-mountain lake Misurina. The Lago di Misurina is often called the "Pearl of Cadore" because of its crystal-clear water, which reflects the imposing mountain scenery - including the famous 3 Peaks. So, it's worth the effort! Via Passo Tre Croci you continue to the famous ski resort of Cortina d'Ampezzo. The way back leads you through the Schluderbach valley. Via Passo Cimabanche, the lowest connection between the Puster Valley and Cortina d'Ampezzo at 1,530 metres, you then return to the Puster Valley on the well-signposted Cortina-Toblach cycle route. On the way home to Olang, you will cross the Höhlenstein Valley which is surrounded by two nature parks, the Fanes Sennes Prags and the 3 Peaks nature park

Into the Ahrntal Valley

The Ahrntal Valley is definitely worth a tour! The scenically beautiful valley requires a good level of fitness - if only because of the challenging passages with unpaved ground. Instead of the Dolomites, this tour takes you deep into the main Alpine ridge for a change. The combination of little traffic and impressive nature is worthwhile. At the end of the valley, the Kasern inn awaits you with refreshments before the return trip is quite leisurely - just let it roll downhill and enjoy ...
