Stage of the Camino from Welsberg via Olang and Nasen to Bruneck through varied landscapes and historic sites.
Several sections of the Pilgrim's Way Cammino di Santiago cross South Tyrol and are convincing for the variety of scenic attractions, but also for the many well-preserved reminders of the pilgrimage era along the way. You start in Welsberg and walk to Olang, from there to Nasen and finally to Bruneck.

The start of this stage of the Camino de Santiago is in Welsberg at the parish church of St. Margaret, from where you turn right toward the tourist office. From there follow the road in the direction of the train station, crossing a bridge after which you turn right again. Follow the road through an underpass and turn right again to reach Ried. Follow the Welsberg-Olang road through forests and meadows to Oberolang. Continue through Mitterolang to St. Ägidius Weg and on the main road down to Niederolang. Follow first Trail 22, then Trail 18 to Nasen, passing the Jakobskirche church and descending to "Litschbach." From here continue on trail 18A, then No. 11 through the forest to the hamlet of Ried. From the hamlet, continue walking along No. 14A to Lamprechtsburg Castle. From the castle, take nature trail No. 14 into the Rienzschlucht gorge, then cross the main road into the upper town to Bruneck. There are several rest stops in Welsberg, Olang and Bruneck.
