Direct connection to the King

From Olang you can easily reach the summit of the Kronplatz directly by cable car. Thanks to the modern cable cars, you will reach the 2,275 m on the Kronplatz summit in just 11 minutes, and have an unobstructed view of the pale mountain peaks of the Dolomites, the 360° trails, the 17 MTB routes of the Kronplatz Bike Park, the 4 freeride routes, ...

Up here there are only two possibilities: either your heartbeat races with anticipation or your pulse goes into absolute rest & relaxation mode with the dream panorama. This is what a biking holiday in the South Tyrolean mountains feels like. Pleasure bikers and beginners are guaranteed to fall madly in love with the Gassl Trail - the longest and most flowing trail on the Kronplatz.

comfort – innovation – family

The first alpine lift of the "Olanger Seilbahnen AG" - a ski lift with a single bar - was built at Kronplatz as early as 1966. With the new, ultra-modern Olang 1+2 cable car, however, the region has opened a completely new chapter in lift facilities: under the slogans "technology - architecture - history", the fastest and most innovative cable car to the Kronplatz was put into service in the winter season of 2020/21. It takes around 11 minutes to go directly from the valley to the summit.

From the valley station at an altitude of 1,164m, "Olang 1" takes around eight and a half minutes to the middle station at 2,069m; "Olang 2" then covers a distance of 1,063m and 206 metres in altitude in a crisp three minutes. This means that MT-bikers and MT-bikes can reach the summit station at 2,275m in no time at all. The bridge between tradition and modernity was breathtakingly realised by the breathtakingly amazing architecture of Dip.-Ing. Cornelius Schlotthauer - former Senior Associate at Zaha Hadid Architects. Architecture meets mountains.
