Above the horizon, the sun plays 'cuckoo' behind thin veil clouds. The shadows stretch long across the snow-covered meadows. The roof of the wayside cross is covered in a thick white blanket. Snow caps on the fence entice children's hands: a snowball is quickly spun. When sledding, there is always room for pure joie de vivre and the joy of movement. On the 7 km (4.5 mile) long descent from the Brunst Alm hut back to Olang, the joy can't be overheard! Many World Cup races have also been held there.
Right next door you will find the magic carpets of the Kids Area, where children can let off steam with their families and learn how to sledge on the easy slope.
Winter, snow, sunshine… and sledding.
What once counted among the oldest means of transportation in South Tyrol has become a true moment of enjoyment for all ages. Gliding down the sledding runs, feeling the wind, the cold air on your face, and the snow spraying up to your helmet — it all brings pure winter joy for the whole family.
To keep this fun safe, it’s always worth paying close attention to your surroundings. Along our sledding slope in Olang, you’ll find clearly visible information boards about safe sledding. These were installed in collaboration with the association “Sicher Rodeln – Slittino Sicuro.”
