This varied circular walk starts in the park of Mitterolang and initially leads towards the Baumgartner Stöckl. From there, the route follows the Pichl path and continues along a forest road into the quiet and secluded woodland area known as “Mara Leachl”.
This untouched section features a particularly rich ecosystem: trees and shrubs, together with valuable dry meadows, provide ideal habitats for a wide range of plant and animal species. With a bit of attention, you may spot various bird species, while frogs and other small animals inhabit the wetter areas.
The trail then continues to the sports area of Niederolang and on to the train station. From there, the route leads back comfortably and mostly flat to Mitterolang, completing the loop.
This walk is ideal for nature lovers who wish to experience the diversity of local flora and fauna in a peaceful and relaxing setting.
