From the tourist information office in Welsberg follow Bahnhofstraße, cross the bridge and, following the sign for the cycle path in the direction of Olang, walk a few more metres to reach the cycle path on the right, before the subway. After approx. 5 km, at the end of the dam, you cross a road on which you continue slightly uphill to the left. At the crossroads after the cemetery in Oberolang, turn left and follow trail no. 39 through wide meadows and fields to the Salla farmhouse at 1239 m. There, a magnificent panorama is offered for beautiful photo motives. After a short rest, continue for another approx. 2.5 km through the forest before a fantastic view opens up over Welsberg and the entrance to the Gsiesertal Valley. We descend and the long, but worthwhile hike comes to an end.

Coming from Innsbruck/Brennero (A): Drive on the Highway of Brennero (A22) until the exit Bressanone/Val Pusteria, then go on along the SS49-E66 for about 58kms until you arrive in Monguelfo. Coming from Lienz (A): You can reach us also padding by Lienz in Westtyrol (A). You have to cross the Austrian-Italian border between Ahrnbach and Winnebach (B100-E66) and drive on the SS46-E66 until Monguelfo.
