On Saturday, 5 September and Sunday, 6 September, the traditional village festival returns to Mitterolang. Two days filled with music, local traditions, community spirit and authentic customs, accompanied of course by plenty of food and drinks.
The festivities begin on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. with the raising of the traditional “Kirschtamichlbam” festival tree. From 6:00 p.m., the Stegen Music Band will provide musical entertainment, followed by the group “Rifflblech” from 8:30 p.m.
Sunday begins at 8:30 a.m. with the festive church service and the traditional procession. From 11:00 a.m., the Trachtenkapelle Schäffern from Styria, Austria, will perform. One of the highlights of the festival is the grand parade at 2:00 p.m., bringing local traditions and customs vividly to life. Afterwards, the Feldthurns Music Band will entertain visitors from 3:00 p.m. From 5:00 p.m., the group “Oberwind” will take over and provide a lively festival atmosphere. At 7:00 p.m., the lottery draw will take place. Afterwards, “Oberwind” will continue playing until the festival comes to an end.
