Be it a relaxed stroll, a cable car ride or an outdoor adventure in the heart of nature - the Dolomites are for everyone. To ensure a carefree stay, there are a number of recommendations for accessible leisure activities, so as to enjoy your holiday to the fullest and without any barriers.
Accessibility means more than just step-free paths - it's often the finer details that make the difference. Whether you are planning a walk around the lake, a hike or a visit to a castle: a well-prepared tour turns your excursion into a truly enjoyable experience for everyone.
Planning is simple: the tourism portal “Südtirol für Alle/Alto Adige per tutti” offers an interactive map with accurate information on accessible hiking trails, accommodation facilities and activities. You will find everything you may need: from reachability and required equipment to whether your chosen route is sunny or shaded.
On September 13 and 14, 2025, the enduro.tirol Tour stopped at Kronplatz, bringing thrilling race action to the Bikepark. Among the diverse trails and the spectacular backdrop of the Dolomites, international athletes competed across several stages to showcase their skills.
A particular highlight was the Adaptive category, which sent a strong message of inclusion in cycling. Here, athletes with disabilities competed on specially adapted bikes designed to provide stability and safety in alpine terrain. Riders were strapped to their bikes and tackled the descents with two front wheels, offering extra control. The result was an impressive race format that showed how mountain bike enduro is possible even under special conditions.
This innovative concept demonstrated how sport can build bridges: it connected people, promoted diversity, and opened new perspectives – right in the heart of one of Europe’s most beautiful biking regions. Kronplatz thus became not only a stage for top-level competition, but also a symbol of sustainability and inclusion in action.
