Mobility in Olang

Olang’s four hamlets can comfortably be reached with the Citybus Olang. The bus is equipped with an access ramp at the rear door, allowing wheelchair users to easily board it.

The Citybus accompanies you directly to the Olang train station, from where you can set off to discover the entire Pustertal valley and its surroundings in comfortable and barrier-free trains. The railway station has of two platforms:

  • Platform 1 is located directly next to the car park and bus stop.
  • Platform 2 can be reached via lift. Wheelchair users can access the platform through the underground passage on level -1 and take the lift to the platform.

 

Furthermore, the Kronplatz Guest Pass allows you to travel free of charge on South Tyrol’s public buses and trains.

Accessibility is a key priority for us. In Olang, people with limited mobility benefit from a well-designed infrastructure and practical solutions that support greater independence in everyday life.

Accessible public toilet facilities in Olang:

  • Olang Town Hall, Florianiplatz, Mitterolang
       → The accessible toilet can be opened with a Eurokey is equipped with a baby changing table.
       → The key can be borrowed during opening hours from the adjacent, accessible Tourist Office.

What is the Eurokey?
The Eurokey is a standardized key used across Europe that grants people with disabilities or reduced mobility access to locked, barrier-free facilities such as toilets, elevators, or automatic gates – easily, safely, and independently. More information is available at www.eurokey.ch.

 

Key access during events in the park in Mitterolang:
During public events, the Eurokey is available at the ticket counter. For events such as Wine and Beer Life or the Street Food Festival, the key can be obtained at the ticket counter or from the stand operator in front of the town hall. Guests are informed in advance.

The Kronplatz/Plan de Corones ski area is the perfect place to experience an unforgettable and accessible skiing holiday. With Monorollies, a qualified cable car staff and barrier-free bathroom facilities, you are sure to fully and safely enjoy the snow.

The ski area places particular emphasis on infrastructure accessibility, with special ascent aids to facilitate entry into the cable cars. In addition, slope-side restaurants invite you to relax and unwind.
