At the Kronplatz ski area, inclusion is a top priority!
Thanks to the use of Monorolly ascent aids, monoskiers can now comfortably reach the mountain summit by cable car. The Monorolly, available at all valley stations of the ski area, is a three-wheeled connecting element with ski bindings that allows disabled skiers to easily access the cable car on wheels. The binding part of the monoski is detached and then attached to the transfer unit, enabling athletes to board the cable car without leaving the seat of their monoski. After reaching the mountain station, the staff will return the Monorolly safely to the valley station.
You can find more information and a tutorial on how to use the Monorolly at www.monorolly.com
The Olang/Valdaora 1+2 valley station offers barrier-free parking and accessible bathroom facilities for wheelchair users. Moreover, people with a disability rating of at least 51% are entitled to a discount of approx. 20% on their ski pass.
This is how Kronplatz becomes a ski area for EVERYONE who loves winter sports!
The Geiselbergerhütte alpine hut, located just 300 m from the cable car middle station, provides a wheelchair on-site, ensuring people with mobility issues can move comfortably within the hut. Barrier-free toilet facilities are also available, thus guaranteeing that nothing stands in the way of a relaxing and enjoyable break. Savour the welcoming atmosphere, local specialities and breathtaking views of the Dolomites - for all winter sports enthusiasts, free of barriers!
The Olang town hall, located at Florianiplatzin Mitterolang, provides barrier-free bathroom facilities which can be accessed with a Eurokey. This key can be picked up during opening hours at the adjacent tourist information centre.
