Griass enk! Hi there!
Here with us in the Active Family Village Olang, adventure awaits the whole family! From the youngest one to the oldest, everyone will find exciting things to do here. Even couch potatoes and those who don't like to exercise can be lured into nature here: How about some sweet South Tyrolean “Strauben” on the sunny alpine pasture? Or an adventurous nature playground by the edge of the forest? Afterwards, you can build a mini dam in a small stream, before you rattle down the exercise trail screaming loudly! Here you will find tours for the whole family and for all levels of difficulty - from leisurely pleasure trails to adventurous cross-country adventures to adrenaline-pumping trail descents. The dolomite village in the green valley basin offers sporting challenges and enjoyable experiences for young and old. No hectic, no stress, no everyday life, no crowds, no obligation. Only freestyle. And lots of cows. Pure deceleration. Pure nature. Pure biking. Simply Easy & Family.
So, get back in the saddle and off you go into the alpine-Mediterranean mountain world of Olang! Dinner is waiting for you on the alpine pasture!
Olang is located directly on the Kronplatz - and thus super central in the Puster Valley - but still not on the main traffic axis. This natural seclusion brings peace and quiet and low-traffic side roads. Simply wonderful! Numerous tours are therefore suitable for the whole family and can also be planned well and safely with the little ones. For the older kids and the parents, who want to let off steam, steeper adrenaline adventures at the Kronplatz and a few highlight tours await.
Another plus in the Puster Valley is the well-established network of cycle paths, which allows for uncomplicated exploration tours. The Puster Valley cycle path leads directly through the three valley villages of Mitterolang, Oberolang and Niederolang. Following the course of the Rienz river, the 105 km long cycling route connects the Puster Valley with the Eisack Valley in three stages. The cycle route runs from Mühlbach via the centre of Bruneck - the charming capital of the Puster Valley - to Innichen and on to Lienz (Austria). This route can be cycled in both directions - if you don't have enough energy for the way back, you can comfortably take the Pustertal train. After all, roads were made for journeys, not destinations. The family excursions take you along asphalt and easily passable gravel roads through the alpine valley - depending on your mood and fitness, all the way to the Pragser Valley, the Gsies Valley or the Antholz Valley. There is no shortage of natural spectacles, cultural-historical treasures, local rites and South Tyrolean specialities along the route!
1 dolomite village - 4 fractions - 5 alpine tours. Olang is wonderfully decentralised in an old-fashioned way: A naturally grown alpine village with three fractions amidst the meadows and fields of the valley basin - and a fourth directly on the Kronplatz. The landscape of the sun-drenched flank is characterised not only by the Dolomites, but also by the lovingly managed alpine pastures. The 5 perfectly signposted, family-friendly alpine tours lead you directly to the traditional family-run farms: Once at the top, mountain bikers are rewarded with hearty home cooking or sweet South Tyrolean specialities. Once again, the alpine village scores with its unique, non-high-alpine location: the alpine huts are all easily accessible for mountain bikers - simply the ideal altitude for pleasure biking and family biking holidays!
Those who want a bit of support on the gentle cycle paths and varied tours can switch from the classic MT-bike to the e-mountain bike and embark on completely new paths on the e-bike tours around Olang.
